# Conan > Conan is a native macOS desktop app that wraps and observes Claude Code, > giving developers a live HUD over their agent sessions — a streaming timeline > of every prompt, tool call, and skill; live context and token usage; a > throughput pulse; the skills and MCP servers in play; and built-in radio. Conan runs entirely on your Mac and reads Claude Code's local session data in `~/.claude` — no telemetry, nothing about your code or prompts leaves your machine. It does not replace Claude Code or run the model itself; it adds the cockpit around it, reading the activity Claude Code already writes to disk, so the agent runs at full speed. Pricing: one app, freemium. The free download is a genuinely useful live observer (terminal, Context, Usage, a basic Timeline). Premium unlocks the insight layer — skill-scoring rows, Plan/Loop/Build rows, expandable tool payloads, longer Pulse history, Skills' last-fired times, the MCP auth watchdog, and Claude Radio — for **$29 once**: no subscription, no per-device limit, lifetime updates within the 1.x line. Sold via Polar.sh. Platform: macOS 13 or later on Apple silicon. Windows and Linux are not yet available — a waitlist on the site collects interest. Conan is built by WhatMatters and is **not** affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic, nor with Conan Properties International (the "Conan the Barbarian" franchise). "Conan" here refers to the macOS app for observing Claude Code. ## Pages - [Home](https://conan.sh/): What Conan is, the feature HUD (Timeline, Context, Pulse, Skills & MCP, Radio), FAQ, and download - [Terms of Service](https://conan.sh/terms): Terms governing use of Conan and conan.sh - [Privacy Policy](https://conan.sh/privacy): What the app and site collect — and what they deliberately don't ## Optional - [Claude Code](https://www.anthropic.com/claude-code): The Anthropic coding agent that Conan observes
